(So tech ASP was right - Kye doesnt want to be associted with sa-mp due to the fraud alligations, but there not arguing over who owns it)

Just means there is NO hope for you having your own server (Clear all the crappy ones out ) And the only people who can get to the officials are people who either Favourited or just search around for the IP (True players... Goodbye hackers and spammers... in time...)

There's even a user named [SWK]Nemesis that said on the link you wrote: "Kye, why can't you make up your mind?"

Kye want to run this thing as a hobby not as a professional, now since his identity has been revealed he's thinking second thoughts.

Completely missed the point. His name was used by sacky along with fraudster which was completely unfounded, so many people then started insulting him and accusing him of stuff he hasnt done. If he goes for a job and someone googles his name and they see that it actually damages his chance of getting a job and will forever brand him for something which was bs.

all i want to know is the ppl who have the 0.2.5 "stolen" beta version can they not finish it if they know what they are doing ? i mean if the basic raw stuff has been done and it was just like bug fixing cant they then release it as kye is turning his back on it now ??

just a thought as im pretty pissed of the way he has basically put 0.2.5 in front of us and said ooooh ooo now ur not getting it .whats the point of keepin the buggy 0.2.2r

IM sure they could. But im not really bothered by the updates... Only a few extras anyway...

Do you trust NB with the source code? They would make it and put so many exploites in it there would be no point in playing anymore (Yes it was NB members who stole it) - This information was picked up from kyes posts and members of NB's posts around the net, was funny to read but hope they rot in hell

From what i've read/forums i think NB have the code - but one prob with them/anyone releasing it:

"So please respect our copyright and license and do not distribute any of our files"
I guess 2.5 (cracked or not) would be Kye's, and releasing it would be copyright infringment, and would break several intelectual property right laws

Also, if 2.5 was released by anyone other than Kre/SA-MP dev, then i *think* if we (as users) downloaded it then we could be held liable for holding copyrighted work, and breaking laws
(Unsure about this, i may be wrong, lol)

I would prefer sa-mp 1.0, cus of the less lag/bugs, but i would still want the registy and banking system, (if possible)

Well I call it a blessing LW is still online and they have granted us the right to remain online but the question is what will we do for the future. Without the influx of new people to the game eventually we will die out...be it a year or more idk. Personally id hate to see that happen sense it made a great game a legend and a community that we all eventually come back too. What can we do in terms of preserving our existence if sa-mp has prohibited the distribution of patches and clients? a little unfair don't you think? what can be done to preserve our server and keep the new ones coming? I guess thats my concern.

If the client and patches are still download able could someone fix a link? Id like to at least have them incase i need to reinstall o.o
