<+Brian> oh speaking off
<~morphine> now all I need is a joint
<+Brian> since that vcmp hack F1 or w/e it's called
<+Brian> is pretty much distributed to 80% of vcmp
<%Zeke> storm broke it
<+Brian> how will you prevent it from being used in 0.4?
<%Zeke> all hail the mighty stormeus
<~morphine> what F1 hack
<+Brian> there's some hack<~morphine> I've been away for too long
<+Brian> that manages to bug opponents weps
<+Brian> alot of players got banned for it on XE
<+Brian> and are being accused of it<~morphine> a lot of people get banned for a lot of things on XE
<%Zeke> storm broke it, no hax in 0.4
<+Brian> you sure?
<+Brian> it's a .asi mod<@Stormeus> yes
<+Brian> and asfar as i know from the beta
<+Brian> you could add them manually<@Stormeus> It's extremely trivial to detect from a client perspective
<%Zeke> whitelist them
<%Zeke> ye
<~morphine> stormeus tell me about this hack
<+Brian> morph
<~morphine> I didn't understand squat from brian's insightful description
<+Brian> i post the vid for you
<@Stormeus> Not because you can blacklist the ASI itself but because the method the F1 hack uses is just so stupidly simple, it's easy to catch
<~morphine> I don't need videos
<+Brian> Mod<@Stormeus> It changes memory values in the game to stuff that is literaly impossible in normal gameplay
<@Stormeus> literally*
<@Stormeus> And I mean literally literally, not figuratively literally
<~morphine> which values
<@Stormeus> I'll give you an example rather than a full disclosure
<@Stormeus> There's a value that specifies what action the player is doing. 1 is idle, whereas 17 (don't remember the exact value, but let's say it's that) would indicate jumping, and 32 is shooting
<@Stormeus> F1 zeroes that value out for everyone except yourself
<@Stormeus> The only problem is that it is NEVER zero until the ped is completely removed from the game
<@Stormeus> Even a dead ped will have something stupid like 41 to indicate it's wasted
<~morphine> 1. is this synced server side
<~morphine> 2. as far as I understand players are being rendered motionless in a way
<+Brian> it's client side<@Stormeus> ^
<@Stormeus> They actually don't get rendered motionless because there's another block that specifies a ped's animation, which isn't affected. This is why players will retain the shooting anim but no bullets will come out.
<~morphine> well that sounds scary
<+Brian> it actually is<@Stormeus> Yep
<~morphine> and I thought I was a cheater in my day
<+Brian> i tested it ingame<~morphine> :v
<+Brian> and it's really fucked upI guess you know why youre banned.....
