LWs is a DM server and when we say we want more players we don't mean we want more rp-players or more players-of-anything but what we really mean is that we want more deathmatchers and fighters.
Although the situation might look dire for impatient people amongst us, there is no need to sacrifice our core spirit, the original LW feeling and our interpretation of death match for the sake of having more retards than we have now already.
I'm of the opinion that it's insufficient to only rely on the average number of players to measure a server's success. We have many regular players that have spent years of their lives on this server, in which time other games were created, published, played, then died and were forgotten.
I think as the first sa-mp server ever we have the obligation to reflect our tradition and stay true to our roots. Of course we could and propably also should incorporate advancements, but we should always make sure to not just copy whatever anyone else uses and end up as partyserver, with a lot of players and a miserable quality of the community, but instead we should find our very own approaches to new inventions always strongly based on our traditional core.
Apart from all the above, what Spitfire said goes. There is a reason suggestions board was closed, and if you have suggestions they should go to LW's redmine at
dev.littlewhiteys.co.uk.
Furthermore, suggestions are cool and stuff, but what we should focus on in the moment is the organisation of development and urgent bugfixes in the current version before we can think about new additions. Let's just make v2.9 perfect before we commence with progression.
