Well.. absolutely not my style. It shows pretty much that you indeed are a rich kid. The PSU is a total overkill, also... no idea where you were able to find that case but the weight specifications alone show how expensive that thing must be.. No idea why you try to stuff trimmed down hardware into such tiny, overpriced case. Imo building computers is no beauty contest. As long as you have that thing you will be facing cooling and noise problems and you will never be able to seriously upgrade it, as the motherboard is VERY limited. Is "style" really worth that much to you? Can't even attach a proper internal sound card.

Other things are the low-budged intel socket in combination with a $600 graphics card, RAM already being maxed out, the plan to use a big-ass external water cooling radiator next to a tiny case.............................

Also quite curious if you will be able to stuff that graphics card into that mini-ITX tower. I wouldn't be too sure that it will fit.

As I said.. perfect computer for a rich kid who is willing to throw it away in 3-4 years or so. Don't forget to stuff some fancy LEDs into it

Don't get me wrong.. it might turn out decent if everything works as you have planned it and if the cooling is somewhat bearable. It just annoys me that you are burning up such a high amount of monies for no reason.

Matter of opinion... I have taken the upgradeability into account when suggesting this combination to shizalk. I also didn't consider him a hardcore gamer. And even if he is.. he can upgrade his graphics card in a few years and will have absolutely no problem with any other component.. enkei will.

Let me set the record straight here, I'm maxing out my credit card. Doing that suggests absolutely nothing about someone's salary. Also, as much as I wish I was still a kid, I'm 23. I'm not a kid, let alone a rich kid. I earn every cent I make. But that's not what's important here...

What is important, is the build I'm trying to put together! First off, yes it may not be obvious, but the core component of the build is the case. In my opinion (maybe not yours), it is the most unique/awesome case I've ever seen. With that being said, I had to throw something together (which may be less than ideal) to work with the case. I didn't start by saying, "hey let's build a mini-itx gaming rig!"

The case isn't on shelves yet, but it's probably going to run $350, which I'm alright with. Again, the case is absolutely amazing in my opinion, and I'm willing to put together parts that will fit in it. They do have pictures of it with an internal water-cooling system at expos and such, so I know water-cooling is a possibility. The dual bay 780 I want to throw in WILL fit. I can't run SLI in this case, which is why I went with the upgrade model of the card. If I were running an ATX build, I'd have gone with 760s in SLI.

Also, I want to play GTA 5 with this rig. That means I need outstanding graphics processing (external card). Yet, at the same time I want to play GTA: SA. That means I need outstanding processing speed (CPU). Older games utilize the CPU mostly, as graphics cards weren't as powerful back in the day. I understand it'll utilize only one core, but I'm also going to use VMware on this thing.

It's a bummer I can't find a motherboard that allows 32GB of RAM (for VMware), but I'll settle for 16 just for the sake of this amazing case that I love.

o shite men that's some hardware right there. Why do you want to go with mini-atx though?

I bought myself a $2000 PC for myself some time ago, and then later on a $500 for my dad. Both work just as well for the games i play.
Moral of the story is don't buy stuff you won't need.

Now we can be around 2-3 years with only 30% of gpu improvement and 10% improvement in cpu. His pc will get old before he can't run games at medium graphics anymore.

But that was EXACTLY my train of thoughts. In 3 years, CPUs for the same price will not operate very much faster. But GPUs will be pretty much outdated, no matter how much you paid for it.

I'd say, if you are trying to build a new computer these days, spend only very low cash on the graphics card, because in the next 3 years 4k gaming will become the new trend.
Because of that 2 things will happen:
- graphics cards will be designed to work with 4k more effectively, which means in 3 years, graphics cards will probably have a totally different architecture
- games will be designed to work with 4k more effectively, which means you will be able to max them out easier if you stick to FULL HD for now

In 3 years 4k gaming will be pretty comon. You will be able to buy decently working 4k graphics cards and 4k monitors for a bearable amount of monies.

And now try to do 4k gaming with a current $600 or $300 graphics card.

So to make it short:
Currently it is a good idea to buy a graphics card that will do everything you want until 4k gaming is common.

Well.. that pretty much explains everything. I wouldn't adapt my hardware to a mere computer case. Looks like inwin is the new lian li. But if you are so amazed of that case then go with it. As you have said, there is NO mini-ITX motherboard for intel CPUs which supports more than 16GB of RAM and afaik there neither is a more powerful Intel socket in a mini-ITX board. So as overpriced as your combination may be, it is pretty much the best way you can go.. considering the case. Hopefully you will find another mini-ITX board with decent specifications when it is time to upgrade your computer.

That's what I am going to attempt.

I will try hard to somehow get this 4k bullshit running alongside with GTA V and a scorpion deluxe SSD.

My hopes are low that GTA V + 4k will work out but it will be fun to experiment a little and, of course, to play GTA SA and other old games @4k resolution
Will also try Skyrim 4k. Afaik it runs pretty smooth actually.

I also would love very much to program in 4k resolution. Huge IF clauses are really annoying sometimes...

Not yet sure whether to prioritize 4k or the scorpion deluxe.

I'd wait for 4k (which is years away), but when it comes out, why wouldn't I wait for 5k? My point is, I could be dead by the time 4k comes out - life is unpredictable. I'd rather enjoy myself with the current market limitations. For example DDR4 memory is already created. It's going to be about a year before it starts getting put in servers and workstations. But I'm not waiting around for that! Also, they do make a 32GB ITX board, but it isn't the latest Intel chipset. I'd rather go with the latest chipset/4th gen processor.

I just got new setup i can run everything full ultra with the R9 280x Vapor-x your psu is overkill for single gpu but in that case you may want to go for crossfire or sli in the future... also R9 280x or GTX 770 are enough if you want more power for bettter performance go for crossfire or sli in the future or get  new card when the prices drop about the SSD is over priced if i were you i will wait until the prices drop  im only using 2TB HDD or maybe get 250GB SSD for the System and 2TB for Storage also checkout the new SSHD's

I lost my old mobo i didn't use my pc for a month so i decided to build new one

im running MSI Z97 Chipset Gaming 5, NZXT Case with i7 4770k Haswell im very happy with it

Z97 are great has good audio and ethernet drivers you can control upload and download for each software and supports the next 5th generation cpu's

Normally I would agree but when it comes down to milestones it is a completly different matter.

With 4k resolution you don't need anti aliasing anymore. You don't need to fake smoothness any longer. That is what I am most curious about. There never has been such a big step forward with display resolutions.
