I've just updated this slightly. There are basically two new additions, the first one addresses this problem:
wow dude. The website is really great. I like the awards and exp. stuff. The overall look of the website is just amazing.
Just one little thing, if it could fit in the page. I mean, i was side scrolling the page to see awards. My resolution is 1366x768 and zoom to 100%.
Awards are now not displayed on the right-hand side of the page as a sticky rail, but can be viewed via a modal popup (click "Show awards for this player" as
shown here). The modal window also shows a few more detailed statistics showing the player's progression in terms of exp. Let me know if you have any more issues with the formatting here as I haven't tested it across many browsers (I've only emulated screen resolutions).
Addition #2 adds page history using url fragments. This means if you search for "alice" then "bob" and then hit the back button on the browser, the site will automatically reload the stats of "alice" from the "bob" page. It achieves this by using a # symbol in the url, which also now allows you to permalink to player pages:
but how do you get a permalink to a page? Easy. Just search for a name, and then copy the address of the page!
I think the next development from me will be to get some dynamic signatures working using the same backend, or add some leaderboards. Which would you guys prefer first?
p.s. have you guys got any cool screenshots of the server I could use in the background? I'm looking for some really nice photography around LV or something. Something
like this.
