Planning to move next summer to The Netherlands, so this would be usefull for me and I'd also like some dutch lessons. :)

That's true. The netherlands their second language is english. You will learn it at school and it's very similar to english. So it's easy to learn and understand.

Dutch is based on latin (correct me if i'm wrong)

As far as I know, dutch is one of the closest relatives of both german and english and I'm not really sure about your argument.
