Hey guys. I have just finished writing up most of my project, as part of my research. My research is focused around procedurally generating suburban/urban layouts, such as villages, towns and cities. These are complete with roads, land plots and buildings. If this confuses you, what I mean by this is that I've wrote an algorithm which makes random cities and towns, with roads and buildings.

A crucial part of this system is the generation of land plots to put buildings in. To do this, I created an algorithm which automatically finds plots of land for a road network, which buildings can be easily placed within. This algorithm takes inspiration from real-life, and finds the most efficient shape (one which maximises the most free space) alongside each road, creating polygonal plots of land. This part of my system needs evaluating, and the way I'm going to do this is through a user-based survey. That's where you come in!
I just require about 5-10 minutes of your time to complete a quick survey, where you have to choose between two images which you think contains computer-generated land plots. All you require is a modern web browser, and a bit of patience.
