Ban Appeal
« on: August 29, 2017, 02:08:27 AM »
Nick used whilst ingame: leCoq
Time and Date that you were banned: August 24th.
Suspected Reason (if any): Speed hacks http://forum.littlewhiteys.co.uk/index.php/topic,29589.0.html
IP Address: 186.73.202.13
PAC ID: Not registered.
Admin that banned you (if known): [MK]Ratchet
Extra notes:

It's a shame that I have to actually come to the forum to make a ban appeal, because I have to reveal my indentity from a nick that I used to play unknown. The thing is that I apparently got banned for using 'speed hacks', which actually is funny but still dissapointing to see.

At the start, I was like oh well, now I have to lose time on a forum making an unnecessary explanation and wait for years to be unbanned. But here we are. I was about to report the admin that banned me, but since Ratchet is a known friend mine, I will let it go and just make an appeal. I will suppose it's a mistake that someone can make.

Now, about the report itself, it's a commom visual bug of VCMP that happens for several reasons. The difference is that since it happened to me, I didn't stop running (because I was sprinting there on my screen) until the second 0:30 that I jumped back so my movement changed and such bug dissapeared from Rajput's screen. A similar example can be seen when a car explodes while someone is trying to leave it, so the skin dissapears but the player is still alive with low hp.

Waiting for a quick answer since this is the only server in which I mostly play on.
Thanks for the attention.

I've analyzed the video and the thing that bugs the people out there might be the sprinting and the normal walking animation from you on RajPut screen. Also I can confirm that you were running on the same speed until 0:30 , after the jump the sync just behaved normal. As declaration there's no sign of speed modification at all, because of the following activities I'm going to mention here that may have led that it looked like you had modified your speed.

In such cases we would always point out that this might be caused by desync. This could possibly occur when there's a big difference between players their ping or when their ping spikes, so alot of desync is happening when you're deathmatching. Another case is when a player FPS is unstable, especially when he's recording ,so when an explosion happens near him the FPS of the player gets unstable, thus the sync behaves different for some seconds as in weird things are happening within a few seconds on the player his/her screen. This can sometimes affect 1 player and sometimes more than 1 player, so yeah it's a little rare how many players it may affect. As many of you know it already desync only takes place for a few seconds (1-15 seconds) or maybe a little longer. Here we can see that it took like 30 seconds, and from my experience sometimes the sync only behaves well when the player does something else than what he's currently doing at that moment, in this case Fercho was sprinting all the time until he pressed the jump button and so the sync got normal after that as you can see it by yourself on Rajput screen.

I've also checked other things out that might lead to that you were using speed modification or any other modification, but I've found nothing as of now.
I'll leave this for Ratchet now.

We both, me and MD619 were chasing IeCoq.. It seemed to me that he used speed hacks so I said in team chat that "I suspect him for speed hacks" If it was similar on MD's screen he would reply positively.. But I was surprised he didn't reply..
Now I got it why he hadn't replied, IeCoq was probably sprinting on his screen but not on mine..!
