What am I Doing Wrong???

Alot of time I'll unload 4-5 clips from my Micro SMG on a guy and his health won't go down, yet he is able to kill me even though I have full armor and he has none.

I know about lag and all that, my ping is typically 140-150. This just doesn't seem like lag though. I know I've been told not to pay attention to the blood or apparent hits, only the health bar, but it's a bit frustrating when the health isn't going down and I've used 150 bullets.

Also how do you people play SA-MP? I am using a Logitech USB controller. Alot like a PS2 Controller, pretty much the same. I've noticed some of you have ridiculously good aim, how are you aiming so well. Another thing...alot of times I get killed by drive by's and the guy may not even be parallel with me, he is a few feet ahead of me but yet his bullets angle back on me like he has me targeted...it's unreal...and of course I die.

Also is there anyway you can mod a car and then save it for when you come back? Doubt it eh?

Anything else that you people think would help me...tips and such...

Hello there.

I think I saw u yesterday at lw's and I noticed u didn't really lead aim with your uzis. I recommend u to use keyboard and mouse instead of a controller. With mouse u're much more accurate and u can lead aim better.

But remember that hitbox(the place where u shoot to make damage) depends on many things: ping, fps lag and bunch of other things all together but u can get a hint of one's hitbox by looking at his ping. The bigger the ping the more u need to lead aim.

First DONOT use a controller -Two reasons for this -
(a) I presume ur using auto aim (which wont work with/on samp) cus of lead aim (which idmad hs pointed out)
(B) The "controller bug" which means most bullets another player shoots will hit u (i hada controller once, everyone i knew could kill me)

No way of saving cars,

Yeah I'm using default too (I guess most players do so).
I only switched the buttons for jumping and sprinting.

i always redo, ALL controls if needed, to be close to the same for every game.. w,a,s,d to move, mose to look, shoot.. ect.

I also use shift to sprint, instead of spacebar :p (maybe that's why I fail!)

try leaving sprint space, caps as jump, and Lshift as get in/out of car..

That would be so weird to get use to!! I use the VC defaults bc I started VCMP first, then got use to the keys and moved on to SAMP!
