Problem with the server?

So in the SA-MP console I get a ping of about 120...my standard ping.

But when I try to connect to the server I get to the Vinewood screen and it says "Server did not respond" ..."Connecting"....

But all the while this is happening I am getting messages from the game like a race is starting and some other messages..etc...

I'll keep trying to reconnect but just think this is server related...I've got internet..

On another note, is there a way I can change my forum name to my new name in game, TheAstonVillan?

Anyways problem fixed right after I wrote the forum message.

Well me and Quickplay once had an issue that we would connect and get
Connecting to server...
Server didnot respond. Retrying...
Connecting to server...
Server didnot respond. Retrying...
Connecting to server...
Server didnot respond. Retrying...

etc....
We both had it at the same time, for an entire day D:
But after a while (like 8hours for me) it suddenly started working for us both....

I think its some type of "bug" or issue with the server, which normally has to be waited out.

But as fox says check ur firewall, and if uve installed anynew programs recently check they dont effect samp. other than that wait a while and see if it sorts it self out.

Yea thats what happened to me Ace, it went away within 10-15 minutes though so no biggie.
