afaik there is no other way to totally ruin a race.
even if there is a block you always stay a chance for a win - there is always more than 1 way to the next checkpoint and you always see it on your radar when a block has been set up. if you are  not some retard you should be able to avoid a block easily (if you pay attention to the radar/map).

thats not possible if there are rustlers. you can spend as much attention as you want, besides staying in a tunnel or driving SUPER slow (-> you lose anyway, no matter if your car is fucked) there is nothing you can do. with rustlers its possible to focus on one single player who you dislike. and most of the fags do so - they focus on the guy who killed them before or on the guy who is avoiding there shots. they usually dont attack another player say just focus on you to show you that your helpless and all your skills are meaningless.

with blocks for example its completly different. everybody gets blocked. everybody has problems so all of the racers get slowed down. there is no problem at all. like this you can show your driving skills the best. show the bastards that no block can stop you.

Gryphus you say that you didn't expect this from me, but did you expect that I will accept Dom's suggestion?? I've always been against virtual worlds, recently I've started even thinking that it was better without the duel arena when you had to fight at V-Rock and everyone could fuck it up in any time... But nvm, maybe duel arena attracts more ppl.

And I'm also one of the few ppl who DON'T see rustlers to be the biggest problem of the server (maybe because I don't race too much). But I can imagine how annoying it can be to newbie to be destroyed by a rustler when he was going to win a race... I think that it's the best solution. It doesn't use virtual world, there is no rules that you can be banned for breaking and the rustlers are not fully removed.

However maybe there should be an option to start race without locking rustlers? Also if the R team don't want such suggestions to be accepted maybe they should make a declaration on the forum, that they will not destroy races?? But nah, I don't think that it would help, R are not the only one doing it.

No newbies can win a race: they will crash until their cars explode, even with no Rustlers nor roadblocks...

It`s the worst suggestion which was ever posted here! And it´s not a solution for anything.

I spend 95% of my time on server with stunts, flying around or kill other helis and planes. Now if there is a race, noone else could join a new rustler, including me. And that just sucks. It would be the same like "close all helis if there is a dm-event, because they could come and kill us all"...

Let it like it is right now, or make special new areas next to the all around SA lap, where racers can fix their cars.

Yeah that's a good idea: they can still be attacked by Rustlers, but they can fix their cars more often.

We won't make any declaration, even if there are air races and air events! As a gang we fucked like 2 races since we excist together. And I also blow races very rarely, because stunting and that stuff is mostly more fun. If the races would be hosted more often, nobody would complain about rustlers, because these few pilots that could fuck races aren't doing it very often. This wave of new topics about "the bad, undestroyable and unfair rustlers" was the result of one long topic by Scott. An I guess he was very frustrated at that time because he made the topic shortly after I killed his car. And helped SRC and that other noob to win.

Im not talking only about the ppl who are new to samp. Im talking also about ppl who entered LW, as it's advertised as a race server, and joined the race, cause they thought they are skilled enough to win some cash to start with. These ppl wouldn't crash and probably would deal with road blockers etc. But I don't think that they can deal with rustlers (I don't think anyone can deal with them alone while racing).

You seriously act like you're the best rustler pilot who ever logged on sa:mp, but redshirt or bot7 could beat you without even trying. And the old rustler players weren't even annoying, RedShirt would always destroy the tank and occasionally stalk a racer, and bot7 simply never talked. Neither of them spammed the forums with useless suggestions, and if for example RedShirt had, they would've at least made sense because: he knows and understands how to play the game.
