Video card problem
« on: June 05, 2011, 08:52:15 PM »
For some reasons I don't know why my video card isn't working properly.
In GTA I see the shadows different , also the sea is green (lol).Today I was trying to play a game and it didn't want to start , I was searching if my PC can handle the game , all's ok , but it doesn't recognize the video card.
I have ASUS AH3450 Series , 512MB.

Any ideas?

I heard that Windows 7 x86 dont allow unsigned drivers,so I guess youre using x86 and your drivers are not signed by 7...
I also heard that chip is made by ATI and if ASUS dont have up-to-date drivers then youll need some of these .. :o

I do have Windows XP.

Right now I turned to 16bit and it works fine for a game which doesn't work at 32bit.

how about just updating all of your drivers? See if that works.

i can only say the same thing again:

what resolution did you pick ingame?

you should select something like 1280x768x32, the 32 means 32 bit color depth.

be sure that it says 32 :P

also download the latest version of DirectX
if that doesnt work then your probably screwed because you need a new graphics card.

oh i am too late to help
but that is good cause you already fixed it. I had the same problem 2x or 3 times from 2006 till 2010, it allways helped to reinstall the drivers.
but i had a nvidia card

Good to hear you got the problem solved. Most of the solutions have been said (update driver, reinstall game, reinstall drivers, change resolution, etc)

However, i did research the card and came across this in the description:

- Gigantic 512MB memory on board
