XBox can't do blu-ray. It uses DVD, which can get up to about 7.95GB if it's dual layer (which it will have to be).. Consoles ARE limiting games, that is a fact and it's not necessarily a bad thing
Rockstar are very smart; GTA San Andreas (PC) fits onto a 4.7GB disc with "high" resolution textures. This was in 2005, with older compression algorithms, surely they've improved on this in 7 years and can do more with newer technology. They can use new compression algorithms to compress content to console disc, not only that but console games do not require high-resolution textures as you generally sit further away.
In light of this and the announcement, I would not expect a chance of San Andreas. We will get a very large, very detailed Los Santos as shown in the trailer.
That was JaToch's "facts". I didn't know they were doing blurays for games, I never heard of that, do they? I know you can install on hard disc but that seems strange, don't most people have 20GB hard discs on consoles? I imagine whole SA on the rage engine would at least be 20gb.
Whos JaToch? Every game is bluray for ps3. PS3 use standard 2.5 mm HardDrives, and can be upgraded upto 2tb atm. While xbox there is at least a 250gb HDD. So it snot lacking anything.
250GB is not standard across all XBoxes (mine is 20gb, the cheapest Xbox now has 4gb, arcade didn't have one at all) and XBox hard-drives are expensive to purchase upgrades for. Microsoft would not certify game that required a 250GB hard-drive, not only that but I doubt Rockstar would either-- it would make the game a lot more difficult to sell.
