Need Suggestions
« on: December 21, 2017, 03:28:34 PM »
So I have a CPU , whose specs are as follows:-

Motherboard - SIMM- 760D3 V1 (AM3 Socket with 1x PCIex1 v2.0, 1x PCIex16 v2.0)
Processor - AMD Sempron 145 single core, 2.80 GHz
GPU - on-board=  AMD Radeon 3000 1GB
         Dedicated= none
RAM - 4GB DDR3

Now, the thing is, I wish to make a little bit of improvement in the performance, as I'm not much of a techie, I need your suggestions on whether to buy a new processor to replace existing one, if yes then which one? OR to buy a GPU?and  which one?
The budget isn't much as it is a spare CPU lying around used by my lil cousin, but  I'm ready to look at the scope of options that I have got.

Also, feel free to mention any other useful information you may have.  :)

hmm the best thing on your pc at the moment is probably your ram.. and maybe your motherboard.

- that single core cpu is in dire need of upgrades for performance improvements, desktop/games/workstuff etc
- but then again your gpu matters too when you want to upgrade performance in games

whats your budget for the improvements?

4000 INR or 60 US$

I would like to go for Processor, but if the GPU compatible with current processor is also viable and cheaper, than new processor, then I'd go for GPU.

From the budget you have and the specs,

I recommend buying a new GPU, while using ur cousins CPU
Its the best as it improves most aspects.

I dont know the specs of the CPU ur cousin has, but atleast its better than urs,

As for GPU I recommend AMD Radeon R7 240, its powerful and cheap from what I had before, tho if you would like another alternative, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 would be great.

Heck, if you have more extra cash, you can install 2 GT 730 or R7 240 if you have the space and port to do so.

Also, always ask your friends or family if they have an old PC or have bought a new PC to replace a previous PC, or even ask companies (if you dare),you can always get spare components from any abandoned or broken down PCs.

Will these work efficiently with the processor?

BTW, I was looking at  GT 710 1GB DDR3 (getting for 15$), GT 610 2 GB (getting for about 17$), would that work?

For PC, as far as I know, you dont have to worry about it, If im correct, most of the time its usually the motherboard that controls and solve this problems, when something is wrong, it will often tell you at startup.tho a different story for laptops

GT 710 is a good graphic card,(used it before)tho struggles to med-end games,(i had a i7 processor so this can be worst)

GT 610, from what I heard, Its good for its time, idk bout its performace to new games tho.

From my experience from Processor and Graphic changing,You just have to read instructions , install the components carefully and everything should go smoothly, since PC motherboards are often ready for component changes or additions.

Also, as you are changing from AMD to NVIDIA, after installing the components, you have to go to the website and install the drivers.

sorry i cant quote since its difficult to do it on mobile

In my opinion, You should upgrade the GPU, it will increase your performances. You only should increase RAM when You use a 64 bit windows!!!!
to make your PC runs faster: Just go to advanced system options and click on visual settings, then a box will appear just select"adjust for best performance"
don't worry about the visual change: you'll get used to it!!!;) I hope I did help you :)
