Well yea i would say the same here in my own country. But i looked it up and that laptop costs more here. Its not 1000$ (760 euro)
But more or less 1200 euro (roughly 1500$)

So i think asking for a laptop for that kind of money you need to start looking in your own country, and come back here with the specs. Give like a couple of laptops. So people can help you decide to see whats best for the requirements you have.

1000$ should be well enough for a laptop well at least in the United States, Idk how bad prices are bulked up in other countrys. If you need help, I can recomend another laptop.

Its good but for the 3D modelling you want to do i would personally go for atleast 2 to 4 gigs more RAM. So that you have like 6 or 8 gigs of RAM.

The CPU its an i3, i think you can get better for that kind of money. Like atleast an i5 or i7 even.

Other than that it looks decent but for that price i would not buy it myself.

Wait whats the price on that laptop ? Cuz it doesnt say.

dont buy it!

the resolution is absolutely pathetic.

with $1000 you should be able to get 1920x1080 easily.

nonono, i forgot to mention, i was in a hurry: the laptop we had till now died 2 days ago, so we need to buy a new one asap cause its needed for school.. The budget we have is 720 bucks, and this is the best deal i managed to find in our country.. So now i need your overall opinion on this one considering its 700 bucks.. And as i managed to see, it can run all (yes, bf3 too) newest games atleast on low settings..

If its urgent like that for school. Then go for it i guess.. But as bikedriver said that graphics card is shit and would run BF3 at like maybe 20 fps or so. 25 on low settings maybe

wasnt talking about the card, was talking about the screen itself.

i wouldnt buy it, seriously.

even office tools suck at such a low resolution.

also 700 bucks dont seem to be too cheap for it.
in my opinion the resolution is the most important thing for a school/internet laptop. laptops are not made for gaming anyway.

what tools are you going to use on it? programming stuff? office? photoshop? all of them are a lot more confortable to use on higher resolutions.

also you will only end up playing games in school if its too powerful :-X

of course thats only my taste. i just love 1080p resolution laptops. so much sharper, more detailed pictures..

oh and you can watch FULL HD PORN while laying on your bed. :) :) :) :)

yeah i know the res isnt really big, but every single laptop which had better res is actually much more expensive (no damn idea why).. And we really cant afford anything better now as my parents are in an.. umm.. financial crysis? (or w/e its spelt like)

Then go for something alot cheaper and just for school not for personal use like games... thats my opinion... and let ur parents use that money for their financial situation...

so everything is going fine, installed the drivers, but i keep noticing one thing:
i enabled the CPU meter gadget on desktop, and i see that the RAM is used 30% - 36% all the time (that would make almost 2GB out of 4)

All programs are shut down. Does the windows 7 consume so much memory? Will it affect games if im gonna play something?
